We support programs that foster skills, knowledge and promote universal eye health.

Projects that are likely to produce a widespread benefit in people’s lives or a sustainable improvement in ophthalmic services are especially attractive to us. Skills transfer, education, research, sustainable service delivery, workforce diversity, and capacity building, are goals we would support in preference to infrastructure provision.

Key information

We review applications at the beginning of March for projects starting on July 1st.

For projects starting July 1st, please submit your applications by February 28th.

For information on our program support policies or any other enquires please contact us.
Although our focus is on domestic (Australian) projects we are also interested in worthwhile international projects. We have partnered with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons international projects office, the East Timor Eye Program, the St. Johns Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem, and the John Fawcett Foundation in the past.
